About 350.org Australia
350.org Australia is a grassroots movement of 60,000 individuals and local community groups across the country. We work closely with the global 350.org movement, which has mobilised people in 188 countries. Our movement has run campaigns that have kept fossil fuels in the ground, and supported a rapid and fair transition to renewable energy. Our vision is for a future that is just and equitable, with our communities and ecosystems thriving and protected from the impacts of climate change.
About ClientEarth
ClientEarth is a non-profit organisation that uses the law to create systemic change that protects the Earth for – and with – its inhabitants. We are tackling climate change, protecting nature and stopping pollution, with partners and citizens around the globe. We hold industry and governments to account, and defend everyone’s right to a healthy world. We shape, implement and enforce the law, to build a future for our planet in which people and nature can thrive together.
Sophie Marjanac, Sam Hunter Jones and Joanne Etherton of ClientEarth are representing the claimants, with Sudhanshu Swaroop QC, Monica Feria-Tinta, Simon Milnes, Brian Walters QC and Adam McBeth of the London and Victorian Bars also generously acting for the claimants on a pro bono basis.
